Hey people!
Today, we had a fun red cross training. It's because we had an orientation session with the new batch of Sec 1 red cross cadets! They were not shy at all and wasn't afraid to speak up. It reminds me of us when we were Sec 1s last year. However, they did not seem to have discipline within them and disrespected the seniors a little bit, but I'm sure they'll have plenty of discipline instilled in them once they start on their red cross trainings. *Smirks*
Anyways, we started the day off by explaining to the Sec 1s what Red Cross is all about and all the fun things we do every training. Then, we moved up to the Parade Square to start off our first activity which was Wacko! It's a pretty simple game. Here's the rules. We have to sit in a

circle and one person steps up and becomes 'The Whacker'. The point of the game is to have someone sitting in the circle to call someone's name and 'The Whacker' has to identify that called person's name and 'whack' him. To avoid the 'whack', that person has to say someone's else name to redirect the 'whack'. So this goes on again and again until someone cannot call another person's name and gets 'whacked'. Then, that person becomes 'The Whacker'.
It's quite complicated, isn't it?
After that, we proceeded to Charades. In my opinion, it was rather draggy as many of us weren't enthusiastic about it. Thus, i won't elaborate further.
We then started on a new game. That game was invented by the seniors themselves so it didn't have a name yet. The rules are not to step your feet onto the ground, or else you're disqualified. We have to use sheets of newspaper to step on so that we don't touch the ground. We then have to collect as many colored papers (thrown by the seniors) as possible. After that rather messy game, we went block catching! If you don't know whats that, read my other post (about Red Cross). However, this time our floor limits were only floor 5 to 6. Rather dull, i might say, but the atmosphere heated up when we chased our seniors in an attempt to catch them.
After that, we went back to the Red Cross room and we had a brief debrief. Then, we were dismissed. Although, this orientation was short, we still have a couple more orientation sessions with the Sec 1s. I'm really looking forward to it!
